Ngwe Saung Beach Resort, opened in 2,000, is one of the
pleasant beach resorts in Myanmar. Located in the
Ayeyarwaddy Division, about 30 miles from the town of
Pathein, Ngwesaung, a beach frontage on the Bay of Bengal
unspoiled and pollution-free natural surroundings with its
crystal blue waters, its white crested waves, silvery sands
and extensive sunshine beaches, is indeed one of the best
places for recreation and relaxation.
Ngwesaung's silvery beach stretches an unbroken line for 9
miles from Zee-Maw Village in the north to Majee-Maw Village
in the south with its scenic and occasionally rocky
shoreline, all set against a backdrop of tropical rain
forests and the towering Rakhine mountain range.
Ngwesaung extends its warmest welcome to all visitors who
wish to relax amidst the waving palms and balmy breezes of a
truly memorable ocean resort.
Day 1 Yangon to Ngwesaung by car
Our driver will meet you at your hotel and depart after
breakfast. About 4 and half hour drive to Pathin. Cross
Ayeyarwaddy River over Bo-Myat-Tun Bridge, second longest
one in Myanmar 8544 feet. Proceed to Pathein.
There is Pathein (Nawun) River to cress over Pathin Bridge.
After Pathin river to beach will take only an hour drive.
The road will be a crossing over western mountain range
about 1500 feet above sea. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 beach Leisure.
There is opportunity to stroll along the seashore and visit
nearby villages to sample the local cuisine, and buy
trinkets and ornaments fashioned from sea shells, cowries,
mother of pearl, huge rock-shrimp and crabs, fossilized
marine flora and unusual coral formations etc. to take back
as souvenirs or presents upon your departure.
Day 3 Ngwesaung beach - Yangon
After lunch drive back to Yangon along same road. Pathein
sightseeing includes Shwe Mout Htaw Pagoda, PhaungdawOo
Pagoda, Traditional bamboo umbrellas factory and Pathin
market.
