Myanmar New Year Festival

Day 1

On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Those arriving in the morning
can see the sights of Yangon (formerly Rangoon), which include
Shwedagon pagoda, the royal lake and gardens and Chaukthatgyi
pagoda with its colossal reclining Buddha. Evening taking part
in Water festival.
Day 2
Fly to Mandalay and check in the Hotel, allowing time to see the
sights of the town, which include Sagaing with its beautiful
pagodas, the famous Mahamuni Buddha image and Mandalay hill with
its pagodas. Evening sightseeing for state shows around city.
Day 3

Visit Amarapura, Myanmar's most famous monastery, which is home
to 1,700 monks. The rest of the day gives a chance to see the
production of crafts including woodcarving, bronze casting, gold
leaf making and tapestry.
A boat trip from Mandalay along the Ayeyarwaddy River to Mingun,
back to Mandalay in the evening. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 4
Fly back to Yangon. Visit the main market (Scott). Leisure.
Day 5

If your departure flight is in the evening, in the morning,
there will be an excursion to Thanlyin (Sirium) and visit the
main market of Yangon Bogyoke before your transfer to the
airport.
