Day 1 Yangon arrival with morning flight

On arrival, MT &K guides will welcome your group at Yangon
international airport and transfer to Kandawgyi Palace hotel located by the
Kandawgyi Lake, welcome drink before check in at hotel. Your luggage will be
taken care by our backup team from airport to your room and a package of welcome
gifts will be left at your room consisting of a traditional Shan shoulder bag
and a hat, a sandal wood fan or a wallet, Local costume stamped postcards, a map
of Myanmar with details of the sights to be visited and a Burmese phrase book.
Refresh yourself and prepare for sightseeing, after lunch at hotel. Depart from
hotel with blue open air taxi and those afternoon can see the sights of Yangon
(formerly Rangoon), which begins with the magnificent reclining Buddha at chauk
htat gyi, next to Yangon's colonial Anglo-style city center. Strolling in
downtown area and complete your first day in Myanmar with an extended visit to
one of the world's most spectacular monuments, the Shwedagon pagoda. Return to
the hotel and enjoy your dinner at hotel near poolside or garden. Overnight stay
at Kandawgyi Palace hotel.
Day 2 Yangon – Bagan

Depend on flight time, early breakfast at 4:30 or at 7:00 AM,
after breakfast, transferred to the airport for domestic flight to Bagan. Upon
arrival at Bagan, transfer to Thiripyitsaya hotel located in the best place in
Bagan with the best beautiful view of Ayeyarwaddy river. Bagan was a capital of
the first Myanmar Empire; one of the richest archaeological sites in South-east
Asia. Situated on the eastern bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River, it is reached by a
90-minute flight from Yangon. The 42 sq km area of Bagan contains over 2000
edifices, the well-preserved pagodas and temples representing the rich cultural
heritage of the 11th - 13th century. On arrival after airport, sightseeing began
with Shwezigon stupa, Gubyaukkyi temple where the best panoramic view of Bagan.
Lunch at a riverside restaurant overlooking the Irrawaddy. In the afternoon
visit a lacquer-ware factory and Ananda Temple, one of Bagan’s architectural
masterpieces. In the late afternoon, transfer to That-Byin Nyu Temple for a
horse-cart ride passing among the most impressive temples and pagodas of Bagan.
Sunset from a temple. Enjoy yourself in the beautiful sunset and return to hotel
by horse-cart at your convenient time for dinner. Today dinner will be at local
restaurant with Myanmar traditional dances and puppet performance. Overnight in
Bagan.
Day 3 Bagan

After breakfast, transfer to Nyaung U market and stroll
around the colorful local market where you can see fresh vegetables, fish, meat,
all sort of beans, household and kitchen wares. Next to a Buddhist monastery
where a noviciation ceremony in Burmese Shin Pyu is being held and we can
observe boys who will become novices for the first time in their life. In the
ceremony, all the relatives including novices-to-be, parents, guardians of the
novices-to-be and guests are dressed for the occasion carrying various kinds of
alms, and parade and going in procession around in the village. The
novices-to-be will be sitting on the back of horses around the village. The
procession satisfies all. So, I would like to invite you to share with us, it is
a joyful occasions. Continue the day with visits to the significant pagodas and
temples of Bagan. Htilominlo temple noted for perfect condition of pilaster from
12 century. Dhammayangyi temple (the most massive in Bagan) and Sulamani temple
noted for beautiful brick-work. Back to hotel for lunch at hotel restaurant.
Afternoon free time at hotel and relaxation, sun-bathing or swimming. Pony-carts
and sedans will be waiting at hotel entrance to be at your service if you want
to see more ancients temples or to go somewhere during your free time;
horse-carts are still important mean of transport for local people in Bagan
today. At 4 PM, transfer to the Aye Yar jetty and riding in a private boat for a
beautiful sunset on the Ayeyarwaddy River with views of the rural life along the
river bank. Arrive back to jetty after sunset on the biggest river in Myanmar.
Back to hotel. Tonight dinner will be organized at Dhammayangyi temple – the
most massive one where one can get 11 century environs, tradition, folk dances
except food. Overnight in Bagan.
DAY 4 Bagan - Mandalay

After breakfast, transferred to the airport for Mandalay by
private airline. On arrival, from airport to Amarapura, about an hour and 15
minutes drive from airport and arrive at Maha Ganda Yon Monastery where over a
thousand monks live and study Buddha teaching. You will have the opportunity to
see alms-offering ceremony to monks if arrive before 10:30 AM and later part
will be to watch the monks having their last meal of the day in total silence
and observe a monk daily life. Next 10 minutes walk to the over 200-year-old U
BEIN teak bridge on Taung Thaman Lake. Drive to Mandalay about 30 minutes, on
the way stop at Myanmar traditional silk weaving home factory and Myanmar
typical lunch at Green Elephant restaurant. After lunch, check in at Mandalay
Mountain view hotel. Mandalay is a centre of Myanmar culture today and
sightseeing in late afternoon including one of the most famous Buddha Image in
Myanmar, Mahamuni Buddha image covered in thick layers of gold leaf. Mandalay is
a last capital of Myanmar monarch in Konebaung dynasty and has a lot of skilled
craft-men since from time of Myanmar monarch until now. Next to marble stone
carving work-shop near western entrance of Mahanuni Pagoda, next place for wood
carving and bronze casting and finally gold leaf making. Proceed to Shwe Nan Daw
Kyaung or Golden Palace Monastery where the king who was a founder of Mandalay
Palace died in that building and donated as a monastery by the successive one.
Kuthodaw Pagoda, famous as the world's largest book made of marble, before
proceeding to Mandalay Hill for sunset. Tonight will be a good time to wear
traditional Myanmar longyis and slippers as well as tanakar - a natural organic
make-up for beauty and a medicine for better skin conditioner, your
participation are invited. A joyful evening at the pool-side of the hotel, the
pool will be decorated to resemble a traditional Myanmar village with activities
and live food preparations for your dinner. Overnight stay at Mandalay Mountain
View Hotel.
Day 5 Mandalay - Mingun - Ava - Sagaing

Today will get an exhilarating cruise trip on Ayeyarwaddy
River for a full-day excursion to the surrounding areas of Mandalay. Transfer to
jetty after breakfast. Embark on up-river trip to Mingun. You will be amply
rewarded with a keen sense of Myanmar history, waterfront life and the beauty of
widely varying landscapes along the river about an hour and half. The first
visit at Mingun village is the unfinished Mingun Stupa supposed to be one of the
world's largest stupa built by King Bodaw Paya, the Mingun bell, a magnificent
sight of the world's largest un-cracked bell weighing 90 tons to match with
Mingun Pagoda, and will continue to Hsinbyume Stupa. Next to Inwa (Ava) about an
hour and half ride. Lunch will be served on board along the trip to the former
Royal Capital of Inwa, Transferred by horse-carts to Nanmyint Watch Tower, the
remains of the palace building and only the king and head-queen are allowed to
get to top level. Next to Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, built of brick and
stucco, Bargayar Monastery, famous for its massive teak log POSTs and impressive
ornate woodcarvings. After Inwa sightseeing, transfer by coaches to Sagaing
hill, a retreat for Buddhist devotees and a visit to silver-wear workshop. After
sightseeing, driving up Sagaing hill with local passenger trucks, in my opinion,
the most beautiful view sceneries of Ayeyarwaddy and sunset. Return to Mandalay
by coaches. Dinner at hotel. Overnight at Mandalay Mountain View Hotel in
Mandalay.
Day 6 Mandalay - Heho - Pindaya – Lake Inle
After breakfast at hotel, transferred to the airport for
flight to Heho. On arrival, proceed by coaches to Pindaya about 2 1/2 hours
drive and visit Pindaya cave and town, a unique sight of nearly 9 thousands of
Buddha images donated and placed in the cave. Due to the old custom in that
area, newly married couples sued to donate one Buddha image in that cave and
wishes were fulfilled.After lunch at the Pindaya Conqueror hotel, we will drive
to Nyaung Shwe about 2 1/2 hours and travel by boat 30 minutes to Lake View
Resort. Arrival time at hotel will be around 5 PM. A Shan dance group is playing
for your welcome. Traditional Shan dinner will be served at Lake View Resort.
Overnight at Lake view Resort near Kaung Dai Village.
Day 7 Inle Lake

After breakfast, an excursion by boat on magnificent Inle
Lake will include sights of the famous leg rowers, typical floating gardens,
local methods of fishing, village life and magnificent sceneries. Next to one of
the local markets rotating in the Inle Lake region. And also to Phaungtaw Oo
Pagoda; the weaving village of IinnPawKhon. Lunch will be served at Golden
Island Cottage on the lake. After lunch we will organize a leg rower boat race
especially organized for your group. In October, the native Intha people
celebrate Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda festival once in a year. Festival goes with boat
races and one of the main events of the Inle Lake. Today, your are going to see
that boat race. Each boat has a rower of 50 Intha men standing on one leg and
rowing in unison. The balconies of Golden Island Cottages offers an outstanding
view of the race (10 rooms will be available for your group). Two lake villages
will take part in competition against each other with 50 villagers on each boat;
each of them will row with the legs. What an exciting event and amazing sight.
Rewards for the fastest canoe team and return to hotel by boat. Dinner at hotel.
Overnight in Inle Lake.
Day 8 Inle Lake – Indain - Yangon

After breakfast, an excursion by boat to Indain village
located in South-West Shore of Inle Lake. After boat jetty, there is two ways to
get to Pagoda. One is a brick stair path under roof and other is foot-path
leading to the hidden treasure of Indain Pagoda hillock. Enjoy your time with
over 1000 stupas in state of ruins after 2000 year old. Today lunch will be
served near Indain hillock where a shady bamboo forest and special lunch will be
served before returning to Yangon.
After lunch, transfer to Nyaungshwe about an hour and half, next by coach to
Heho airport about an hour and fifteen minutes for flight to Yangon. Upon
arrival, transfer to Kandawgyi Palace hotel and time to relax until your
farewell dinner at the French restaurant 'Le Planteur'. The garden of this old
colonial villa is decorated with local umbrellas, candles and torches, a
classical orchestra will enhance your night as a memorable one.
Day 9 Yangon Departure
After breakfast, transferred to Yangon International Airport for departure
flight and your luggage will be taken care by our backup team from hotel to
airline check in counter as usual.
