Hot Air Balloons Flying Festival
Duration - 5 days 4 nights
Destination - Yangon - Taungyi - Yangon
Availability - Only on festival days - around 3 week of October to first
week of November
Day 1
On arrival, transfer to hotel. Those arriving in the morning can
see the sights of Yangon (formerly Rangoon), which include
Shwedagon pagoda, the royal lake and gardens and Chaukthatgyi
pagoda with its colossal reclining Buddha.
Day 2
Fly to Heho, drive to Kalaw for lunch, then onwards to Pindaya
to visit Pindaya Cave and town. Drive to Taungyi. Stay overnight
at the hotel. Evening visiting to the site where Hot balloons
are released to flying. It is a competition between several
groups and associations from different regions. During the day,
competing designs, position and altitude of flying hot balloons
and when it is getting dark for art of firework. How firework
will display for beautiful design and colours.
Day 3
A boat trip on Inle Lake sightseeing; Phandawoo Pagoda
procession, the market, floating plantation with a famous Inle
weaving workshop and NgaphalChaung monastery after lunch.
Back to hotel. Visiting festival again in the evening.
Day 4
Drive to Heho Airport and fly back to Yangon. In the afternoon
visit the main market of Yangon Bogyoke.
Day 5
If your departure flight is in the evening, in the morning,
there will be an excursion to Thanlyin (Sirium) and visit the
main market of Yangon Bogyoke before your transfer to the
airport.
